Construction
back

TPI's SureTouch touchscreens are constructed of two layers of electrically conductive transparent films facing one another and separated by a gasket. Conductive coating on each layer is chemically etched to form a matrix of switches. Conductive silver ink is then used to transfer the electrical signal form individual switch locations to the termination point at the tail. The entire switch assembly can be mounted on a rigid Glass, Acrylic or Polycarbonate backer.

Operation
back

Two opposing layers of SureTouch are held apart by small separator dots until they come into contact by a light finger pressure. The electrical signal is then decoded through controller to provide the application software with the location of the activated switch.
